March has ADHD

We will all need personal assistants to keep March organized.

Very pleased that Short Story Reader has noticed "Rot." Thank for the heads up, E.

The vsf blog has been quiet for a while, but today Tara L. Masih, editor of The Rose Metal Press Field Guide to Writing Flash Fiction and author of Where the Dog Star Never Glows: Stories, talks about formal variety within collections with the great Jayne Anne Phillips (Black Tickets changed your life, didn't it?) and Press 53 publisher, Kevin Watson.

Oh and one other thing--Barry Graham rocks Everyday Genius with "!3 Ways of Looking at a Roadtrip"

You're right about March.

I especially liked Jimmy's and Barry's contributions to Everyday Genius this week. Kudos on selecting them.

I've been meaning to get Black Tickets for a while now. I saw Phillips last year on a panel about flash fiction at AWP.

My brother's birthday is March 5th. Mine is on the 10th. The Ides' is on the 15th. Not sure who has one on the 20th, but I refuse to go look it up.

The first week of EG was great. Loved 'em all, and Jimmy's piece was hysterical. I used to envision writing classic prologues and I'd get so wrapped up in them and how they would be studied/interpreted that it would all become too overwhelming and I'd go back to paying attention to whatever Mr. DeGraba was teaching us about Geometry. FWIW, my verification word is mancoc.
